When the wine leaves the darkness of the cellar, it reveals itself on the table with a name and an unusual image. He doesn’t like celebrity and he has enough fame without it. It is offered as it later develops in spirit and taste: happy, playful, momentarily serious, but all the time a little optional. True nobility is never exalted.
Goriška Brda, a place where the soft Northern Mediterranean and Southern Alps mix. A place where the soil is rich in salts and minerals. The hills are marked with white wines: Mediterranean exotic, mineral, full and fresh at the same time, which can be aged for longer, up to five or six years. We trust Rebula and its potential. Rebula is a kind of pride, our identity. Red? We have believed in them for a long time. We demand maturity, longevity from them. Briška vineyards can do it.
One motive, one faith: to do good, whatever one does. Nature itself speaks to those who can hear it. When years of association with vineyards and grapes have given firmness to feelings and reliability to judgments, predictions are no longer difficult. Changes are the only constant on this path, which goes from generation to generation: my son Aleks is my best winemaking partner.
